Joey Fournier, 50, was caught in northwest Georgia near Rome on a murder warrant in the killing of Cynthia “Cindy” Berry, according to Deputy U.S. Marshal John Edgar of the Southeast Regional Fugitive Task Force.

With the help of Bibb County sheriff’s officers, the task team tracked down Fournier, who lives along Lamar Road west of Lake Wildwood.

Berry’s father discovered her dead inside her Barrington Hall house off Winchester Place at 1:30 a.m. Monday.

Brianna, Cynthia’s daughter, told 13WMAZ that her mother had moved into the house to start a fresh life away from a violent ex-boyfriend.
