Alternative artist Halsey recently started her Badlands tour, which runs from July 6, to September 4. Her first stop on the tour is in Orlando, Florida. Being part of the LGBT community, Halsey was devastated by the Orlando tragedy and looked for ways to help.

Halsey announced that limited edition “Send Love” T-shirts will be available for purchase at her Orlando show. 100% of the proceeds will go to support the victims of the Orlando tragedy that occurred on June 12, 2016.

The “Send Love” T-shirts are part of the OneOrlando Fund. After the tragic event at Pulse nightclub, communities searched for ways to help the victims and their families. Orlando Mayor Buddy Dyer announced the creation of the OneOrlando Fund, which gives direct financial support to those affected by the tragedy.

Halsey is an advocate for the LGBT community. Earlier this year in May, she donated $500 to a homeless transgendered man. Her donation brought attention to the man’s gofundme page and afterwards, many more people donated.

More recently, Halsey collaborated with various other artists on a song called “Hands,” which is a tribute to the Orlando victims.

We would like to thank Halsey for her continuous activism in the LGBT community. Tell us your thoughts on Twitter @Celebmix.
