Dina Manzo’s ex-husband was reportedly busted on Tuesday for allegedly hiring a Mafia hitman to assault the man she is now married to today. Page Six says that the federal government revealed the allegations this week.
Before linking up with David Cantin, Dina Manzo was married to Tommy Manzo from Franklin Lakes, New Jersey. They were together for approximately 11 years before they finally called it off in 2016.
According to the outlet, Tommy Manzo tried to hire a member of the Lucchese crime family to kill David in July 2015. US Attorney Craig Carpenito’s office revealed the indictment.
Reportedly, Dina – who appeared in the first two seasons of Real Housewives of New Jersey – and Cantin were in a relationship at the time of the assault. They got married in May of last year.
As for how Tommy paid the Mafia member, John Perna, reports indicate that he planned to give him a massive discount for a wedding reception he was about to hold in the following month. Tommy co-owned the venue and was able to bargain with him.

According to the prosecutors, Perna held a luxurious wedding reception at Manzo’s restaurant for a small price. Both men involved in the case, Perna, 43, and Tommy Manzo, 55, were charged with committing a violent crime in aid of racketeering activity.
Furthermore, prosecutors charged them both with fraud among other crimes. Michael Critchley, Manzo’s lawyer, declared that his client was innocent and the allegations were closer to something out of a reality TV show than anything in real life
He said he and his client were going to prove without a reasonable doubt that he is innocent. Back in May 2019, Todd Malm reported that a man busted into Cantin and Manzo’s home and beat him with a baseball bat and kicked the reality star while she was on the ground.

The suspect tied Cantin and Dina up and then stole her engagement ring and a pile of money.
