Mother: Loni Anderson

Loni Kaye Anderson is an American actress who was born on August 5, 1945. She is best known for playing as Jennifer Marlowe, a receptionist on the CBS sitcom WKRP in Cincinnati, for which she received three Golden Globe nominations and two Emmy nominations.

She was an art student at the University of Minnesota who secretly entered beauty pageants (including a Miss Minnesota runner-up placing in 1964) and won. But, unfortunately, oni Hasselberg got married and divorced from Bruce Hasselberg before turning 21. Hence, she took a teaching job to support herself and her baby daughter, Deidre, while finishing college.

When she became interested in acting, she did as many aspiring actors do: she apprenticed in local commercials and theater productions. She appeared in several early 1970s productions as Billie Dawn in “Born Yesterday,” “Give Me No Flowers,” “Can-Can,” and “The Star-Spangled Girl.” She also appeared in a production of “The Threepwood Tree” and played “Tzeitel” in “Fiddler on the Roof.”

Later in mini-movies, the gorgeous star became a soap-styled fixture. All eyes were on this deserving pin-up who aided in the revival of Marilyn Monroe’s, Jayne Mansfield’s, and Mamie Van Doren’s glamorous platinum-blonde allure.

She had a moderate amount of success on television when she recreated the lives of artificial sex sirens like Mansfield and Thelma Todd. Still, she got bogged down in television movie re-tellings of notable movie classics Three Coins in the Fountain (1954), Sorry, Wrong Number (1948), Leave Her to Heaven (1945)) that couldn’t help but pale in comparison.

Loni and Howard Hesseman became the sitcom’s breakout stars, with Loni achieving sexy status and winning two Emmy nominations. On the other hand, her instant celebrity contributed to the dissolution of her second marriage to Bickell in 1981. Outside of the confines of her comedy series, Loni had a hit-or-miss career

In 1993, she returned to television with a starring role in the average-rated series “Nurses.” Loni played Casey MacAfee for 22 episodes and received critical acclaim for her performance.

She starved in the television shows “Melrose Place” and “Sabrina, the Teenage Witch.” Loni made a significant TV return in 2003 with the sitcom “The Mullets,” She played one of the main characters.

The series was only on the air for 11 episodes before getting canceled due to low ratings. Loni almost vanished from the acting scene after the failure of ‘The Mullets.’ She’s recently appeared in episodes of the shows ‘Baby Daddy’ and ‘Love You More.’ In addition, she has cast in the web series “My Sister Is So Gay.”
