Sabalenka’s tennis career and rankings

She has been a top ten women’s player in both singles and doubles, having been ranked as high as No. 2 in doubles, and No. 9 in singles by the Women’s Tennis Association.

She didn’t win her first WTA match but played well until Wimbledon in July 2017.

She played her childhood idol Maria Sharapova but eventually lost in two close sets.

Sabalenka upset No. 6 Elina Svitolina in the 2nd round and did not drop a set in any of her last four games, during the game.

She qualified for the WTA Trophy, where she was assembled with Garcia and Ashleigh Barty but, she defeated Barty to open the match and lost to Garcia.
