Sabalenka’s tennis career and rankings
She has been a top ten women’s player in both singles and doubles, having been ranked as high as No. 2 in doubles, and No. 9 in singles by the Women’s Tennis Association.
She didn’t win her first WTA match but played well until Wimbledon in July 2017.
She played her childhood idol Maria Sharapova but eventually lost in two close sets.
